The Amazon Basics Neoprene Dumbbells ARE SOLD AS A PAIR! I purchased these 12LB PAIR Neoprene Amazon Basics Dumbbells on Wednesday December 27th, 2023 and they arrived today on Tuesday January 2nd, 2023. They would have got here 3 days earlier but there was a few days delay due to the weather I am guessing. I am pretty pleased with this purchase. These 12LB Pair Neoprene Amazon Basics Dumbbells are at a VERY affordable price in comparison to other weights around the internet. That must explain why these Amazon Basics Neoprene Pair Dumbbells have over 90,000 reviews averaging 4.8 stars out of 5 stars. These Amazon Basics Neoprene Pair Dumbbells truly are… the only value for your money online I would say. The quality seems to be there too. I would say… these are a GREAT purchase! The Black color Neoprene is… Black; the color is true. The Neoprene provides a comfortable grip for those people with softer hands and for people with rougher hands as well. I do not have a weight scale (I apologize everyone). So I am unable to verify the EXACT weight of both of these 12LB Amazon Basics Neoprene Dumbbells. But I will say this… I am 32 years young, played football, served Active Duty in the U.S. ARMY, I am 5’9 and weigh in between 225-240lbs (around 215lbs during my time in the U.S. ARMY) and I have been strength training since I was 16 years old CONSISTENTLY and TRULY (I Love training). I have Benched Pressed 335lbs, Deadlifted 455lbs for 3 reps, Squatted 655lbs, Dumbbell Pressed the 140lb Dumbbells, Leg Pressed 1,000lbs maybe a little more, and I have curled a little over 140lbs on the curl bar (two 45 plates one on each side and two 25lb plates one on each side). So I have some credibility in judging weights on how they feel without a scale. And I can truly say that these 12LB Pair Amazon Basics Neoprene Dumbbells do feel around (if not true) to 12LBS. Because I was using 10LB Neoprene Dumbbells from Reebok for MONTHS! And I CAN FEEL THE SLIGHT WEIGHT INCREASE in comparison to the previous Reebok 10LB Neoprene Dumbbells; especially when I am doing light at home shoulder work (train shoulders safely for good health and longevity muscles break quicker than iron most times). And these Amazon Basics 12LB Neoprene Dumbbells feel GREAT and I really like them! I have the 20LB Pair Amazon Basics Neoprene Dumbbells coming tomorrow (Wednesday January 3rd, 2023) I placed that order on Friday December 29th, 2023 and those ran out of stock and I am getting those this fast and quickly! -Impressive! So when they have these in stock, they come quickly! -AND FOR A GREAT TRULY UNBEATABLE PRICE! So purchase them while you are able to. If you want them, purchase them quick because they might be temporarily out of stock. But Amazon restocks them fairly quickly. As you can see from my review details on when I placed the order for mine and received mine in about one week timeframe. And that was with delays like: weather, and being temporarily out of stock. On to the size and how they feel in your hands (depending on hand size). I have fairly larger hands; almost 8 inches tall from my wrist, to the tip of my middle finger. And with my hands spread wide open, my hands measure 9 inches from the end of my thumbs, to the end of my pinky fingers. And when I grip these 12LB Amazon Basics Neoprene Dumbbells I have a snug grip. These 12LB Amazon Basics Neoprene Dumbbells in comparison to the 10LB Reebok Dumbbells that I was using are… “stubbier” I would say in comparison to the 10LB Reebok Dumbbells I was previously using (I purchased these Amazon Basics ones because they are an exact matching pair the Reebok ones were a mismatch). -BUT! Even though these 12LB Amazon Basics Neoprene Dumbbells are… “stubbier,” in comparison to the previous mismatched 10LB Reebok Dumbbells I was using. I still REALLY like these Amazon Basics Neoprene Dumbbells because they fill my hands, and there is no wasted space in between my hands and the handle of the 12LB Amazon Basics Neoprene Dumbbells. -AND… the Amazon Basics ones match! So now I have EXACT weight distribution instead of constantly switching hands to even out the weight distribution in each arm due to the Reebok ones being a 10LB mismatch (their shape is different got mixed up sometime in the past). These 12LB Amazon Basics Neoprene Dumbbells are: compact, and they feel AT ONE with my body. There is no “slack” in the feeling when I use these 12LB Amazon Basics Neoprene Dumbbell’s. The hexagon pattern in these Amazon Basics Neoprene Dumbbells are very nice as you would expect, and they stack very well when you store them after your workout. They can also make a good transportable dumbbells to workout with if you are road tripping somewhere and you want to have the opportunity to get in a quick workout, you can throw these in a duffle bag (a sturdy one) and take them with you somewhere to workout when you want to. I’m unsure about taking them with you on an airline; you may have to call the airlines for that clarification so you don’t risk getting them possibly confiscated, but if you are driving and you want to take these Amazon Basics Neoprene Dumbbells with you, you can do that! The white “12LB” labeling on these Black Amazon Basics Neoprene Dumbbells (the 12LB versions) are easy to identify due to the good use of color contrast; the white colored numbering “12LB” on these Black Amazon Basics 12LB Dumbbells are easy to identify… and… that was redundant. As for the durability of these Amazon Basics Neoprene Dumbbells, I am confident; and I think you will feel confident that these will be able to withstand normal use in your workouts. And if you drop your weights (although safely controlling the weight down is a far wiser option) I am confident and you will feel confident that these Amazon Basics Neoprene Dumbbells WILL HOLD in the durability department. They're excellent weights at this price point. I walk at 4.5MPH for 5 minutes and than set the weights down and do 5 without. I do this twice a day for 45 minutes each session. I have noticed about a 25% increase of my calories being burned. At the same time the weights are toning my arms very nicely. I loon forward to this spring when I take them with me on my daily walks outside. I have large hands so I've included a pic of them in my hand.
